IAF Recruitment 2025 AFCAT 341 Posts Online Application

Indian Air Force (IAF) invites applications via online mode for AFCAT 01/2026, to for 302 Officers posts under Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-technical) Branches/ NCC Special Entry, For Courses Commencing in January 2027. Applications must be submitted by 14-12-2025 after confirming eligibility.

Vacancies & Eligibility Criteria:

Ground Duty Non-Tech (Weapon Systems + Admin + Lgs + Accts + Edn + Met) 114 20 - 26 Years Graduation with 60% (as per branch-wise requirement) As per 7th CPC
Age will be calculated as on 01-01-2027.
Age Relaxation: Flying Branch CPL holders – upper age limit relaxable up to 26 Years.
Type of Posts: Flying Branch (SSC 14 Years), Ground Duty (SSC 10 + 4 Years extension).
Permanent Commission applies for eligible Technical & Non-Technical candidates as per rules.
Salary: All posts carry pay as per 7th CPC + MSP + flying/technical allowances as applicable.

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT 01/2026) will be held on 31-01-2026

Mode of Recruitment :

Stage Details
Stage 1: Online AFCAT Exam Computer-based exam of 2 hours including General Awareness, Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, Reasoning & Military Aptitude (100 questions, 300 marks).
Stage 2: AFSB Testing Candidates shortlisted from AFCAT exam (or directly for NCC Special Entry) will appear for AFSB Interview at one of the AFSB centres.
Includes Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR), Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PPDT), Psychology Tests, Group Tests and Personal Interview.
Stage 3: CPSS (For Flying Branch) Computerised Pilot Selection System test for candidates opting for Flying Branch. This is mandatory and qualifying in nature.
Stage 4: Medical Examination Detailed medical fitness test to be conducted at authorized centres as per Air Force standards.
Final Merit List To be prepared on the basis of AFCAT score, AFSB performance and medical fitness, subject to branch-wise vacancies.

Fee Structure :

Application fee for the AFCAT entry is Rs 550 plus applicable GST, which must be paid online. No fee for NCC Special Entry scheme.

Candidates should upload scanned copies of their photos and signatures in their online application. The application should be kept for future reference.
